Switzerland beat Finland 5-3 on Monday in a tight game for the first place in group A. Finland had already won USA 7-1 in a game where the result doesn't tell all about the game. So it will be Finland and China to battle for the second place in the group unless Switzerland loses its grip. USA is most likely out partly because the team had to give up the match against Denmark due to illness.
There's been somekind of stomach flu in competition venue and also a few other games were conceded. It has affected the organisers too and that's in fact the reason for the lack of news in here during the last 48 hours. Hopefully the disease is over soon and all the players are in best strenght when the final games begin.
In group B maybe the biggest upset of the event was seen when Italy did beat Canada 10-6. Canada had also big problems with Slovakia, but managed to take win with the score 12-11(!) and are in the best position of the group at 4-1. Second place is wide open: Estonia, Sweden, Hungary, Japan and Italy are all at 3-2.
Norway dominates the group C with five wins and are very close qualifying for the semifinals as the group winner because it has won all the teams at 3-2 and there are only two rounds left. The teams to battle for the second place are Latvia, France, Czech Republic and Scotland.
