10.11.2015 Lohja, Kisakallio Sport Institute, Finland
Old birches in front of Kisakallio sports institute main door had dropped almost all of thei leaves. On tuesday morning those trees stared at the curlers with the same, decades old curiosity, as they had stared all the other sports people wandering back and forth at Kisakallio within different sports activities.
Game day started with four matches in Group B. Israel got yet another lesson in sports of curling from Norway. Norwegians needed only six ends to finish monsterous numbers 19-0. Numbers tell the story of that game pretty well as Norway booked their fifth win in five games.
Italy faced Lithuania and ice was pretty cold for lithuanians too. Italy started with a hammer, got a 3-pointer and stole next two ends to lead 7-0 after three ends. Game was ready for a handshake after six ends as numbers were 10-3. That was booked as end result. Italy is still fighting for the top-three position in their group.
Sweden struggled with their weight at first half against Poland and game was even at 3-3 on the break. Patrik Kallin and swedish team sharpened their game on the other half and stole 2 points in the fifth end and took another two points in the sixth end. Game for Sweden 8-3 in total.
Czech rebublic continued their straight line of wins in the group. Fifth win was finalized with a steal in the seventh end. 9-2 was booked as result. In group B Czech Rebublic and Norway seem to have quite solid positions on top regarding the playoffs. Sweden and Italy are yet to meet each other and it might be the decisive game, who is the third team to move forward to playoffs.
