The ice is ready and prepared by finnish quality ice maker, Mika Ollikainen. But of course, the ice and the rocks will be as hard and as cold as always and they will be handled with care by true masters of the sport, you, the players.
But as there is hard competition, there is also love, friendship and warmth involved during the week between players and teams, just like in any curling competition. The Kisakallio institute staff feels the spirit already. The staff, volunteering Kisakallio students and finnish curling union organizers will guarantee you, the athletes, teams and spectators of this nice sport, our soft and warm finnish welcome and our hospitality during your stay and during this week of curling. The premises and competition will also provide room for players around the world to get to know each other off-ice and make good friends, maybe for the lifetime.
The whole Finnish curling community wish all the athletes nice and friendly stay in Finland. In the true spirit of Curling, we hope, that all participants will find new friends, have a nice experience and spend a fine and memorable week at southern Finland. Organizers promise, that we will do our best to make your stay and your competition as enjoyable as possible here at Lohja, Finland.
